Find your true
fit, in inches.

Every abaya, shirt, and skirt is laid flat and measured by hand before it reaches you. This guide walks you through our charts and shows you exactly where each number is taken from — so what you order is what arrives.

Before you measure Lay the garment flat on a table, smoothed out, and measure with a soft tailor's tape. All figures below allow a natural 1–2" difference between pieces.
Chart 01

Abaya & Dress

Our most-worn silhouette. Length runs from shoulder to hem; chest and armhole are one-side, flat measurements — not measured around the body.

Chart 02

Shirt

Front and back lengths are given separately, as our shirts are cut with a slightly dropped back hem for movement.

Where every number comes from

Tap a pin on the diagram, or a line on the list — each one marks exactly where we place the tape when a garment is measured.

1 2 3 4 5
  • 1

    Shoulder

Measured flat, seam to seam, straight across the back of the neckline.

  • 2

    Armhole

A single side, taken straight down from the shoulder seam to the underarm — not around the arm.

  • 3

    Sleeve

From the shoulder seam down to the cuff, following the natural drop of the sleeve.

  • 4

    Chest

Flat across, underarm to underarm on one side only. Double it for an approximate full circumference.

  • 5

    Length

From the highest point of the shoulder straight down to the hem.

Fit notes

A few things worth knowing

01

Allow 1–2"

Every piece is cut and stitched by hand, so a small variance between the chart and the finished garment is normal — never a flaw.

02

One side, not all around

Chest and armhole figures are single-side measurements. If you're used to circumference sizing, double the number for comparison.

03

Compare, don't guess

Lay a piece you already own flat and measure it the same way. Matching it against our chart is far more reliable than a body measurement alone.

Between two sizes?

For abayas and dresses, we suggest sizing up — the looser, flowing fit is part of the silhouette. For shirts and skirts with a closer cut, size up if you'd rather have room to layer, or stay true to size for a fitted look.

Questions we hear often

Go with the larger size for abayas, dresses, and skirts. For shirts, choose based on whether you prefer a closer or more relaxed fit through the chest.

Not exactly — our sizing is drafted in-house around these charts, so we'd always recommend measuring a similar piece you already own rather than relying on a size label from another brand.

Yes, for most abayas and dresses. Reach out before placing your order and we'll let you know if a custom length is possible for that particular style.

It's a one-side, flat measurement rather than a full circumference. Double the number in the chart for a figure that compares to how you'd normally measure yourself.
